The complete journey

Trade is
a loop.

Discovery is only the beginning. Trading Block connects the object graph, the social graph and a structured negotiation state so every step has context.

01
Own.

Start with a coherent vault.

Collectors add an item through a guided category flow. Product families keep variants—shoe sizes, phone storage, colour and vehicle trim—together while each physical listing retains its own condition, photos, ask and provenance.

02
Want.

Describe intent without forcing a rigid pair.

A want can identify a product, family, category or value band. The world uses those signals for discovery; it does not misrepresent them as a guaranteed valuation or a perfectly reciprocal match.

03
Match.

Surface a directional route.

The matching engine compares owned listings and wants, persists evaluations, and explains why a route appeared. A collector can inspect both items and both people before starting a conversation.

04
Talk.

Open a real room.

Message entry points resolve database-backed rooms. Unread state, mentions, presence and realtime events keep the social layer connected to the marketplace rather than floating beside it.

05
Offer.

Make the proposed exchange explicit.

Select assets, include any declared cash component, review each side, then send. The recipient can accept, decline or counter. Each transition is validated by the domain model and reflected in the activity world.

06
Complete.

Carry context into the deal.

Accepted offers create a deal state with structured milestones. The local release candidate demonstrates the workflow; production payment, shipping, inspection and identity providers remain launch gates until connected and verified.
